Pons (Latin) — a bridge. Fitting, for a dog that lives on a chain you reach by crossing one. Pons Inu was cast from clear glass by a maker who forgot the pigment, so he came out completely see-through: every bone, every breath, every bag. He couldn't hide a thing if he tried. So he stopped trying.

The Legend

The Glass Dog at the End of the Bridge

Every meme dog since 2013 has been a picture of a dog. This one is a sculpture — and you can see straight through him.

01

Cast, not born

The glassmaker's last commission of the night was a good-luck Shiba. Somewhere between the furnace and the mould the pigment jar came up empty, and rather than start again he poured it clear. What cooled on the bench was a dog you could read a ledger through.

02

A Shiba always waits

It's the one thing the breed is famous for. This one picked the far end of a bridge and sat down. Because he's glass, everyone crossing can see exactly what he's holding while he waits — which is nothing except what you handed him.

03

The bridge holds

Pons. They set him on the glass span as a joke, expecting the usual crunch. He walked it. Sat down on the other side, looked back, and waited to see who else had nothing to hide. He's still sitting there. On Robinhood.

How to Buy

Four steps across the bridge

New to all this? It takes about three minutes. Nobody has to hold your hand, but we will anyway.

  1. 1

    Get set up on Robinhood

Download the Robinhood app or open it in your browser, and finish account verification if you haven't already. Crypto trading has to be enabled on your account.

  2. 2

    Add funds

Deposit and wait for the balance to settle. Leave a little headroom for the trade fee and for gas if you plan to move the token on-chain later.

  3. 3

    Find the real glass dog

Search for $poninu, then check it against the contract address above. There is a lot of glass out there. There is only one dog.

  4. 4

    Buy and sit still

Enter your amount, confirm, done. Now sit at the end of your own bridge and wait, the way he does.

Prefer self-custody? $poninu is an ERC-20 token on Robinhood Chain. Add the network to any EVM wallet — MetaMask, Rabby, Robinhood Wallet — bridge across, and hold it yourself. The dog does not mind who is holding him. He can see you either way.

FAQ

Questions you can see through

Is $poninu a real investment?

No. It's a memecoin about a dog made of glass. It has no utility, no roadmap to revenue, and no promise of returns. Buy it because you think it's funny and you can afford to lose what you spend.

Why a Shiba?

Because the Shiba is the patron saint of this entire industry, and every one so far has been a JPEG. Ours is a sculpture with nothing inside it. Make of that what you will.

Why "Pons"?

It's Latin for bridge. It's also the part of your brain that connects the halves. And on a chain you reach by bridging, the name picked itself. Pons Inu sits between the joke and the ledger, and refuses to fall off either side.

Who's the team?

A community. There's no allocation, no treasury wallet full of insider bags, and nothing on the contract we could pull if we wanted to. Check the chain — that's the whole point of a transparent dog.

Where do I buy it?

On Robinhood, checked against the contract address at the top of this page. It is an ERC-20 token on Robinhood Chain, so once liquidity is live it also trades in any wallet or DEX that supports the network.

Are there taxes?

Zero on buys, zero on sells — nothing is written into the contract that skims you. What you do pay is whatever Robinhood charges for the trade itself, and gas if you move the token on-chain.

How do I not get scammed?

Only trust the contract address on this site and in the official Telegram. We will never DM you first, never ask for your seed phrase, and never run a "presale" or an "airdrop claim". Anyone who does is not us.

Come sit on the bridge

The Telegram is where the glass dog waits. Memes, raids, and people who also have nothing to hide.
